I first met Amanda Pearl Designs when I stumbled across her spectacular line of Roll ClutchesI have a love affair with vintage clutches and these swept me off my feet. What I love about Amanda–aside from being smart, kind and SO darling–she is true to her brand. I’m looking forward to what she has to say at tonight’s chat as I deeply admire her taste!  I have a feeling her colorful ways will add a Spring to all of our stylish steps!

Before I forget, today is Amanda’s birthday. It would be so sweet, if at this evening’s chat, if not before, you would send her a birthday wish or even better sing her a virtual “Happy Birthday” tune!

Meet the darling Amanda Pearl Brotman

#Sheaffer Living #SpringStyle Panelist: @AmandaPearly

Armed with a collection of vintage fabrics and beads gathered from her travels around the world, Amanda Pearl Brotman began constructing fait à la main evening bags out of her Greenwich Village apartment. The elegant, yet refreshingly quirky designs quickly turned into a collection inspired by antique jewelry, modern art, vintage travel posters and the fashion and culture of the Fifties and Sixties, officially launching in February of 2008.

Amanda’s designs have been carried by stars like Chloë Sevigny, Frieda Pinto, Blake Lively, Emma Stone and Hailee Steinfeld. They have been seen on the pages of major publications such as InSTYLE, Elle, Town & Country and Martha Stewart Weddings. They have even been used for costuming on the hit television show Gossip Girl and are growing in popularity amongst stylists from coast to coast.
In 2010 Amanda Pearl was awarded the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Accessories, and in 2011 she was a finalist in the Independent Handbag Designer Awards.

#SpringStyle Questions

@TheGraciousGirl: What color or colors are you loving this season?

@AmandaPearly: Bright ocean Blues, iridescence, Fuchsia, Melon/Coral…

@The Gracious Girl: What Spring fashion accessory trend are you most excited about?

@AmandaPearly: I‘m excited that people are finally really getting into crazy bright color and prints.  The core of Amanda Pearl has always been a little kitschy/kooky/tropical/granny, so it’s nice to see people let loose and experiment with things like fluorescent color and clashing florals.

@TheGraciousGirl: Do you keep your handbag neat and tidy or could you live out of it for an extended amount of time?

@AmandaPearly: I keep it relatively tidy, but I’m ready for any contingency.  After all, you never know when you might need to dress a blister, take some notes, or require a bite of chocolate!

@TheGraciousGirl: When it comes to writing do you prefer a classic pen or fun and funky colors? Why?

@AmandaPearly: Given my affinity for color, you’d think I would write in rainbow brights, but I prefer a nice clean inky black to write.  I do like colors for my envelopes, however, and have been switching off between a beautiful Aqua and a bright Pink for addresses.
