In general, we should always think before choosing to use a four letter word. Correct?
even when it’s “sorry”
“I’m sorry” rolls off the tounge so easily doesnt’ it? Almost too easily.
“sorry” this
“sorry” that
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to” or “I’m sorry, but I have an excuse”
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
With this overuse, have we have all but taken the true meaning of sorry out of “I’m sorry”? Last week I stopped by FOX 12 Oregon …

to chat about the true meaning of “I’m sorry” and gracious reminders for using this most powerful word.
When do you want to hear those powerful four letters?

So timely is this, as just this week, we had a daughter- incident which involved saying “sorry” for something said. It is thankfully all resolved but it was interesting to witness for me, the Mother.

perfectly well said! but I’m sorry, I am never wrong and never ever ever make mistakes!
I do love the bit about saying sorry as a condolence. Well done my friend!
Look at you, Mindy! So gracious.
I agree 100% and talk to my kids all of the time about it. Great segment for Fox!
Great interview. Of course, I liked the last point “putting pen to paper.” There’s nothing like getting a note of support when one is facing challenging times. These can be some of the toughest notes to write. Bev Daniels has written a great book “Finding the Right Words” that gives suggestions such as “Thinking of you and wishing you a happy day.” She has a complete chapter on apology writing.
