I love entertaining and believe hospitality and food go hand-in-hand! Which is why when I entertain overnight guests, I love to serve a breakfast that allows everyone to get around the breakfast table. And by everyone, I mean me too.
It’s so easy as the hostess to stay in the kitchen flipping flapjacks or playing queen of the waffle iron. A hot and lonely job.
So let’s move out of the kitchen ladies and join our guests at the kitchen table. Something that’s easy to do with the help of this baby.
1/4 cup butter
5 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
Are you ready for the baby makin’ talk? Here’s how we make our babies, Dutch Babies that is!
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Melt butter in a 9×13 pan.
While the butter is melting, crack eggs in the blender and blend on high for one to two minutes. Slowly add milk, followed by slowly adding the flour. Blend for three more minutes and carefully pour batter into the hot melted butter. Bake fore 20-25 minutes or until puffy and golden brown.
Top with fresh berries…
confectioners sugar. . .
a squeeze of lemon. . .
and then the sweetest part of them all, conversation with your guests!
Happy Hostessing Ladies!
