A Gracious Hostess’ Dream!

by Mindy Lockard on July 6, 2009

img_0795Rarely do I fall inlove with pre-made store bought items.  Not that I don’t use them, they just usually don’t strike my fancy…until I was introduced to these at the beer pong tournament.

Sersiously, can you hardly contain yourself with these adorable sorbets served in real fruit? I can’t.  These are a dream for the hostess trying to serve the mostess!

How to…stop by the freezer section at Costco and pick-up a box of these.  They are around $12.00… I know, too good to be true.  You couldn’t make them for that  – but let’s keep that between you, me and the world wide web.

Approximatly fifteen-minutes before you serve dessert (depending on the heat) take the fruit out of the plastic and put them on a serving tray to soften.

Discard the evidence, which is not about being sneaky, the key to hosting graciously is taking that extra step to present even pre-made items in a beautiful fashion.

Once the sorbet is soft, take a butter knife or spreader and gently mix the sorbet…

and garnish with fresh mint.

Martha would probably take it one step further and serve the sorbet with these cookie spoons

I triple love them!

Ladies and gentlemen dessert is served!

I absolutely LOVE these! My mom uses these whenever she throws bridal or baby showers. They are perfect for luncheons too!

Hi Mindy,
How have I missed these? After all, I feel like I live at Costco, (feeding 3 boys).
Thanks for sharing!
XO, Lizzie
