Fair and Festival Etiquette

by Mindy Lockard on August 10, 2011

A moment of truth, I’m not a huge “fair” girl. I know… wet blanket. What can I say, I have a few control issues that are challenged by rides put up overnight, aisles of dust and fried food topped with too much ketchup.

Anyway, for the sake of my children I had to let it go. So we did it, we packed up the family and went to the fair.

You know what? I survived and my family had a blast. However, our time was not without some planning.

Remember the issues?!

So last Friday I stopped by Fox 12 Oregon to chat about our Fair and Festival plan and how to make your experience all the more gracious. Take a look!

How you feel about fairs? Love ’em or leave ’em?!

Cute post. I am with you on the dust and fried food. It would seem as though fairs might be one thing which has not changed since childhood. The rides, the food, animals, trinkety prizes and dinge are still the same. Maybe if they came up with a clean fair…
