#FamilyRecipe | One Sugar Cookie, Four Ways

It wouldn’t be the holidays without talking sweets, as in cookies.

But before the party. I have a little something to share…

My favorite Gluten Free cookie trick. One dough and can be made into four delicious cookies. These cookies make great treats, gifts or a little something special for you know who…



  • 1-3/4 cups Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 cup Butter softened
  • 2/3 cup Sugar plus extra for rolling (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Four Flavors

  • Strawberry Jam or other flavor
  • Hershey Kisses Candy Cane or Other Flavor
  • Cinnamon and Sugar
  • Crushed Candy Canes


  1. Preheat oven to 350ยบ F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or spray each with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar until combined. Beat in egg and vanilla until just combined. Slowly beat in dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and roll balls in extra sugar. Place on prepared baking sheets 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheets.

Cinnamon & Sugar



  1. Roll the dough in a ball
  2. Cover with cinnamon and sugar
  3. Place dough coated ball on baking sheet

Sweet Kisses



  1. Roll the dough in a ball
  2. Bake
  3. Remove from baking sheet and allow to cool for 5 minutes
  4. Gently (not to hard or you will push through the cookie) press the kiss onto the cookie

Jam Thumb Print



  1. Roll the dough in a ball
  2. Press down with your thumb
  3. Fill with jam
  4. Bake

Candy Cane



  1. Roll the dough in a ball
  2. Roll the ball in crushed candy canes
  3. Bake
