I plan to use “Poised for Success” as a reference guide for a mentor program I conduct for young men in 6-9th grades.
I also do a special presentation to my freshmen business students at a community college I teach.
Both sets of students would benefit from Ms. Whitmore’s new book.

I would use this as I prepare to enter the workforce in a few short weeks! With graduating college, searching for jobs, considering a move to a new city, I need all the preparation and advice I can get. This book sounds great for that!

I would love to win this book! I am just starting my own business, and this book would definitely help me refine my skills and work on my image.

Wonderful giveaway!

I think the book would be a great addition to my tool chest of things that I need as I am looking for a new job. the battle of getting the job once you have an interview is all about poise, image, and projecting who you are to the organization that you are interviewing with. my lack of disposable income would mean that a free copy would be much appreciated!

I was raised to be a dedicated and valuable friend, employee and family member. Now, as my own family continues to grow (we just had twin daughters to add a little spice to our otherwise serene life with our young son!) I’ve finally decided to take the plunge I’ve been dreaming about for more than a decade; to start my own business. Mindy, people like you have inspired me from a far for years. Ms Whitmore’s book would serve as an additional boost of inspiration and a wealth of knowledge to help build the foundation for the next steps in my life.

Thanks for promoting her success and for helping readers like myself continue to grow and learn.

I would use this book not only in my own career aspirations but to help others including my best friend who is also at a cross roads in her career.

“Poised for Success” would be a perfect avenue for our college age daughter to realize the importance of social graces. She would, no
doubt become more self assured and polished from reading, learning and
putting into practice the guidance from Ms. Whitmore’s book.

I would love to win this book so that i can learn to polish my image – but also share it with some of the younger women in my office.

I would love to win this book so that I can help distinguish myself from other professionals. As a young female professional, I am always looking to learn new ways to distinguish myself in a world in which manners and etiquette seem to be fading away.

I’m graduating from a master’s program in May. I will be entering the workforce a full-fledged professional for the first time. Honestly, I’m terrified. I have no idea how to go from a-clumsy, jean-clad, ugg-wearing, late-to-everything student to a business-suited, high-heel, timely professional. Perhaps this book will serve to make the transition a little more graceful? I hope so.

I would use it to brush up my business etiquette skills!

Patti 11.11.11 at 8:54 am

No matter how much you know, it is always best to learn more. I would read Poised For Success in hopes it will help me polish my manners and how I handle work situations.

BeccyH 11.14.11 at 12:09 pm

This would a great gift idea for our college age graduates!!

Erica 11.15.11 at 9:46 am
