It’s Gracious to Give Back!

I love the way you have broken this down to explain how it’s good manners to give back. I think sometimes we all brush manners off as the icing that we can put on or off our cake but it’s not required, and that’s not the case.

Something this post made me think about is that giving back isn’t really giving unless it’s some sort of sacrifice. I don’t mean you have to run yourself ragged or give all your wealth to the needy but if it’s not even a little sacrifice it’s kinda apathetic.

The most precious thing I have is time – and I give that time to children at church by teaching Sunday school . We give money to various charities throughout the year but sacrificing sitting next to my husband while my 2 year old is happily in nursery to recharge for the week ahead is more of a sacrifice than any money, and worth it.
