Honoring and showing gratitude for those who give and or give-up their lives to serve our country isn’t a political statement it’s simply a gracious response to a gift we so freely enjoy. Having a plan of how to say “thanks” when the opportunity presents itself helps ensure we put that gratitude in action
Teaching and showing gratitude for freedom and service is a value very important to my husband, Ty.
When he is in the presence of a man or woman in uniform, he thanks them.
If the girls are with him, he has them extend their hand, make eye contact and say, “Thank you for serving our country!”
I’ve learned a lot from Ty’s effort and have started to put his value in to practice and I’m always looking for other creative ways. What is your plan of gratitude? How do you say “thanks” to the men and women giving of their time to protect our freedom? I’d love to know.
