Take to the Table: Bacon Swizzle Stick with UBONS BBQ

Father’s Day has my foodie wheels turning.¬†Turning in the direction of pork, BBQ and Bloody Marys. Together?

That’s right!

Say it with me,¬†“Bloody Mary Bacon Swizzle. Sticks”

It all starts with these ingredients:


  • Uncured Bacon (I prefer the Beeler’s British Brand Back Bacon)
  • 2 Cups UBONS BBQ Sauce (YOU-BHANS)
  • 3 TBS Honey
  • Tom Douglas Pork Rub

Step One: Do the Twist


Twist bacon and lay on a baking sheet. Brush bacon twists with BBQ sauce and sprinkle with Pork Rub. Bake 350 for 30 to 40 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.

Step Two: Repeat


Continue to turn bacon and brush with sauce approximately every 10 minutes.

Step Three: Mix Your Mary


  • Your favorite Bloody Mary Mix (I love UBONS Bloody Mary Mix pronounced “YOU-BAHNS” Bloody Mary Mix as it contains all natural ingredients and is gluten free)
  • Vodka
  • Pickled Beans
  • Olives
  • Asparagus
  • Bacon Swizzle Sticks

Mix and Serve!
