Take to the Table Tuesday: A Father’s Day Faux Tie

by Mindy Lockard on June 15, 2010

Last weekend we celebrated a faux Father’s Day–we celebrated early because I’m headed back to NYC for another adventure. To make up for missing the big day and to get over my own guilt, we served daddy up a plate of his favorite sweets along with notes and a beautiful flower boquet (I’m learning to let go, and that includes dadelions on a breakfast tray) from his favorite sweets…

Just incase he dribbled a little chocolate or maple–because he had both–we served a napkin tied up in a daddy style. A little trick I learned from one of my favorite bloggers.

Here’s how to tie up a breakfast lunch or dinner napkin for the father in your life.

Lay out the napkin…

and fold one

tuck through and tie.

Voila, a father’s day tie.

I think even I could fold that napkin like a tie now! Thanks for the new trick. That is the most gorgeous bouquet I’ve ever seen…letting go a success!
