Mindy, so fun to see all your success after seeing you speak at Rotary many moons ago. I’ll be entering your contests! I would so love it if you’d let me decorate your twitter page, btw.
I always feel disconnected when my family isn’t getting together regularly for dinner. I really love it when we are all at the table. During advent, I did bigger Sunday dinners and I loved that so much I plan to continue it throughout this new year. Last night was an easy pizza feast with my sister’s family. Full house, full heart.
Sitting down to the table together for at least one meal per day is high on my priority list for my family. It gives us a chance to sit and eat, undistracted (very difficult nowadays) and connect. We do something we call “Good, Bad, Best” - to share things that happened to us that day. There doesn’t always have to be a negative, but it is available if a family member needs something vetted. Otherwise - we’ve been known to throw in a “Good, Better, Best” from time to time. As the kids grow up and schedules continue to fill up - I hope family dinner can remain a place that all ages rely on and look forward to. (Wishful thinking perhaps?)
This year i want to not only spend more time having family meals but to try and make them healthy meals, not always easy with a picky four year old and a vegan teenager that doesn’t like vegetables and a mom that needs to eat gluten free
Our best conversations are at the Dinner Table, but with five different schedules coming into play, it has been a challenge at times for all of us to sit down at once.
The family table is important because it is the healthiest when you cook yourself AND more importantly is being together as a family

Getting my family to the table is important to me so that we make good food choices, rather than eating out or grabbing fast food.
Ladies I love all of the reasons you want to get your family to the table! It’s so important to the fiber of our families and the way our children will encounter the world. Truly! Keep up the great work.
I am the mom of 4 boys ranging in age from 19 down to 7. We are so busy during the school week, the only time we can all sit down together is at dinner. It is easier to get them to talk about their dayif we are all there and laughing, joking and having a great time. They also learn how to socialize and they all pitch in when dinner is over and help clean up.
Because it brings joy and connection to eat together. In our house we do it nightly, and it’s one of the key things we look forward too!
I am always on the go and eat dinner by myself a lot. I love to the have the opportunity to actually sit down with my family or friends over dinner and connect. One of my goals this year is to have someone new over for dinner to give me the opportunity to get to know them better.
Sitting down to dinner is a priority. And not rushing through dinner. I have already begun the process of making more meals (and not eating out or ordering in) and feeling so proud. It is so nice to have a home cooked meal and enjoy the dinner conversation and the lovely food. We’ve recently discovered some helpful finds such as a panini maker and having fun experimenting with it. New cookbooks, blog posts are also a treat & enjoying friend’s recipes posted online. One of my favorite moments is sharing ‘Prouds and Positives’ which is something my son’s teacher has instilled and carried over from school. It is a lovely way to end the day where everyone has a chance to share. I highly recommend this for dinner conversation. I adore this apron and think it just might inspire me to cook more! And certainly would enhance my love for baking. Thanks for the chance.
With two teens in the house it is harder and harder to get everybody to the table but I keep trying!
I have already begun the process of making more meals/less eating out. It is so nice to have a home cooked meal and enjoy the dinner conversation and the lovely food. It is a way of finding out what is going on in each others lives and just getting together and enjoying each others company.
Oh Yes! I love this giveaway! I would wear this apron while dishing up dinner on a vintage tablecloth at our kitchen table! I think we need to sit down, enjoy each others company and stop rushing around. I want to savor my food, family and take time each day to appreciate it all. Great idea to add to my resolutions!

I want me a yellow apron! HA HA Love this, Mindy!
I’ll share - how long is the contest running, or when is the winner chosen?
Love!
Oh, forgot to add. It’s important to our family because that’s where we TALK … I love family dinners. It’s different with my 2 boys up at college now, though … sniff-sniff.
